Then it finally happened!
As you may have noticed, we have a new reusable to-go cup on the shelves. And we're happy about that! We're tired of the many paper cups we throw across the bar, so we hope you'll welcome the cup as a solution and help us reduce our paper consumption (if only a little).
The trick is that you get your to-go coffee in the reusable cup that you take with you on the go. When you need your next to-go cup from us, you can hand in the cup at the bar, and your to-go coffee will be served in it. If the cup is dirty, you just get your coffee in a clean, fresh cup – no problem. That way, you save the environment from the many disposable cups. And we'll give you a 5% discount on your to-go coffee in the future, if you have the cup with you.
But why the new cup? The answer is pretty simple: It keeps the coffee hotter, it's durable and closes tightly. So you can safely put the cup in your bag. It's best suited for hot drinks, so be aware of condensation if you use the cup for cold drinks. We recommend leaving the valve in the lid open just before serving to avoid negative pressure forming in the cup - this can cause a small splash when you open the lid.
The cup is made of durable BPA-free plastic, and all the individual parts of the cup are recyclable. Not all plastic is bad. Especially not when it, like this one, has a long lifespan and can be recycled after use.
