Aeropress

Aeropress is for those who want quality in the cup quickly and efficiently.

Aeropress utilizes and combines the best of three brewing methods: plunger, drip coffee and espresso.

Brewing guide

1. Boil 300g of water and let it stand for a few minutes so that the temperature drops to 92–95°C. Place a paper filter in the plastic filter and pour some hot water through it and into the server so that both the filter and the server are heated up. Empty the server before you start.

2. Weigh 17g of coffee and grind it to a medium coarse grind. Insert the plunger about 2cm into the AeroPress cylinder and place it in an inverted position with the plunger at the bottom. Pour in the coffee and shake gently to distribute evenly.

3. Pour 50g of water over the coffee in about 10 seconds in gentle circles, so that all the coffee gets wet. Stir briefly and let it steep for 30 seconds – this helps the coffee to release its flavour.

4.
Pour the remaining 200g of water over about 1 minute, again in gentle circles. Screw the filter onto the top of the AeroPress and empty the server of the rinsing water.

5. Place the server on top of the AeroPress, carefully flip the entire unit over, and slowly press the plunger down for about 30 seconds until you hear a slight hiss. The coffee is now ready.
