MORE ABOUT BOMBA DE FRUTA

At Original Coffee, we offer our guests two espressos; our Traditional Espresso and what we call our Modern Espresso. We change our Modern Espresso about every six months, depending on how it fits with the harvest seasons around the world.

Our current Modern bean, Bomba de fruta, is grown on the Caballero family farm in the Marcala area of ​​Honduras. Marysabel Caballero and her husband, Moises Herrera, have been awarded for their commitment to developing quality coffee in Honduras several times.

The coffee is processed using the "Natural" method. The entire fruit, including the skin, pulp and inner layers, are dried together. With this method, the pulp is allowed to contribute a lot of sweetness and character to the coffee. This type of processing results in less acidity in the coffee and more fullness in the taste, and in many cases, more sweet and fruity flavor nuances.
