Coffee from Kenya's Central Highlands

Gicherori AA comes from the Embu region in the central highlands of Kenya – an area known for its exceptionally nutrient-rich, volcanic soil and its long tradition of producing high-quality coffee.

The coffee is processed at the Gicherori washing station, where the wet method gives the coffee its characteristic bright, acidic, and fruity profile.

What does AA mean?

When AA appears after Gicherori, it refers to the coffee's quality grading. In Kenya, coffee is graded with letters based on bean size and quality – AA is the second-highest grading, just below AA+.

This guarantees that you are holding a coffee of particularly high quality.
