This coffee originates from the village of Benti Nenka in the Hambela region of Ethiopia. Here, the coffee is grown at altitudes between 2000 and 2300 meters above sea level.
In this area, coffee cultivation is deeply rooted in the local community’s culture and plays an important role in their livelihood. Most farms are small, typically between 1 and 2 hectares. The coffee cherries are carefully handpicked by landowners and their families.
