Over the past 25 years, coffee farmers have become poorer and coffee production is threatened by climate change, deforestation and a lack of transparency in the value chain. Ethical Trade Denmark has therefore established the Danish Alliance for Responsible Coffee .
We share the honor of being part of the Danish Alliance for Responsible Coffee with a total of 37 other Danish players.

We work hard to only import clean, well-sorted and uniform beans that meet our standards. All coffees we buy are carefully selected and sourced by our Head of Coffee, Kasper S. Frandsen, and our roaster, Reza F. Anissi. Both have many years of experience and deep insight into the entire value chain from soil to cup.
When the coffee lands at our roastery Bag Elefanterne in Carlsbergbyen, we treat each coffee individually. It is roasted, sorted and quality-tasted every week before being sent on.
In the heart of Kødbyen, our bakery is located in a beautifully converted butcher shop. Here, craftsmanship and passion meet as our skilled bakers create bread and pastries from scratch with the highest quality ingredients.
We collaborate with carefully selected producers and use, among other things, butter and milk from Thise Dairy, vanilla pods from Mette Ravn, and cardamom from Tanzania, wild-harvested and gently for the environment.
All our baked goods are baked and quality-assured with care, so taste, texture, and responsibility always go hand in hand.
